EMT unveiled their new wheel lathe at Derby Etches Park today. The £2 million investment will allow the company to turn wheelsets themselves rather than having to send their fleet off to Central Rivers.

The trip also allowed visitors to have a look at progress on the new 3-road depot building. This is due to open in early 2010.

The total value of the investment at the depot is £24 million.
