| Here's a selection of pictures taken on the mothballed line from Poulton-Le-Fylde to Fleetwood.
The route was last used in the 1990s when freight used to run to the ICI plant at Burn Naze. Since then the line has lain out of use, but there are plans to reopen it for passenger traffic. Here's a look at what remains today, plus one historic shot from 1991. There are plans to reopen the line and a preservation group are based at and lease Thornton station. 02172: Welcome back? The Fleetwood line has been mothballed since 1999 when the last train ran from the ICI factory at Burn Naze.
